anyway i satisfied my craving for movies by watching two almost back to back. the reason i like watching movies is because i like salted popcorn.
yeah, dumb reason right? but you can only get sweet popcorn from ntuc and places, and weird random flavours from the popcorn shops at citylink.
thus, you have to go watch movies as a facade to snacking on salted popcorn. (:
first movie i watched was with jannon and yingzhe at dhoby, Fast and Furious 5.
whoah it was pretty cool and the guys were freaking buff. The movie was action packed and i can safely say i never felt bored even for a minute.
furthermore, the movie was straight to the point, focused and indeed was a exciting one. funny part was when the rock (some number one special ops dude) turned on the law to help the Team. but it certainly made the audience happy.
i would rate this as a vey entertaining watch! A movie comparable to this would be like Ocean's Eleven. the similarity lies in the plot, where a man with a dream gets a team and succeeds in doing the impossible. the difference however, lies in that Ocean's Eleven's characters use brain; Fast and Furious uses braun.
second movie i watch was with sarena and hanle, a french film which i didnt even understand a single word. really. they had extra ticket thats why i went.
the movie kicked of slow and i was super confused at what was happening. especially since it touched on religion and terrorism and politics in algeria/ france.
but it really struck a chord in a sense (since i am christian) and i became enticed much to it.
very hard to describe, since this is the first non-english film i watched. but really, if one has time, one should catch this. the french singing hymms all add up to beautify this film.
pity i dont know any french haha
